Henry Charles Bukowski költő, író.

Otthona az amerikai Los Angeles volt, melynek földrajzi adottságai és atmoszférája erősen befolyásolta Bukowski munkásságát. Stílusa nagy hatással volt kortársaira, akik gyakran utánozták azt.
