„Marty? To jeden z najważniejszych współczesnych reżyserów, przejdzie do historii, tak jak jego wielcy poprzednicy. Te słowa nie padają z ust przyjaciółki, tylko kogoś, kto od ponad 30 lat z nim współpracuje. Martin Scorsese to twórca, który ma wielki szacunek dla ludzi filmu, dla ludzi, z którymi współpracuje. To bardzo rzadkie w Hollywood – tutaj najczęściej dochodzi do głosu rozbuchane ego, kompleksy, zazdrość. Marty ma bardzo ciekawy sposób pracy. Na jego planie panuje spokój, niemal absolutna cisza.
