It smiled. "Whatever scares you.”

“Whatever you see you gotta keep a sense of humor; you gotta be able to smile through all the bullshit.”

“Listen, smile, agree, and then do whatever the fuck you were gonna do anyway”

“I looked at myself in that window, oblivious to all the people around me and I stared and smiled that particular smile. You know that smile that seems to knock you and tell you how pathetic you are? That's the smile I was smiling.”

“Do you know what I was smiling at? You wrote down that you were a writer by profession.”

“Your scare me rather. My reflection in the glass never did that; of course, I knew it so well. Like something I had tamed… I'm going to smile, and my smile will sink down into your pupils, and heaven knows what it will become.”
