Alice Malsenior Walker – pisarka amerykańska pochodzenia afrykańskiego, czirokeskiego i szkocko-irlandzkiego, aktywistka i feministka.

Urodziła się w Eatonton w Georgii. Jej powieść Kolor purpury zdobyła Nagrodę Pulitzera oraz National Book Award.

Walker była również redaktorką Ms. Magazine. Jej artykuł z 1975 roku przyczynił się do ponownego zainteresowania twórczością innej czarnoskórej pisarki Zory Neale Hurston.

Walker jest również aktywistką polityczną. W 1996 skierowała do prezydenta Billa Clintona protest w sprawie embargo nałożonego na Kubę. Jest wegetarianką. Wikipedia
