““Are you happy, Norman?” asked Brant.
“Well, sure, I guess.”
“That’s what I thought,” she said bitterly. “Neither am I.””

“I know," she said, guessing my thoughts. "I know exactly how you feel."
"Does it get easier?" I asked. Unlike Sydney, Olena had an answer.
"Yes. But you'll never be the same.”

“Well, I guess I can wait two weeks then."
"for what?"
"to ask her out”

“Life Plan:
I asked her what she planned to do with her life & she said she was way beyond that point already. I'm just happy I remember to be there when it happens, she said.”

“I asked a women I was with once, simple question, I asked her 'Have you ever eaten pheasant?' See, it's direct, isn't it?! It's enclosed, it contains everything that needs to be said! And she said a wonderful thing. She said "Erm…"—she thought about it—and she said "Er, not really." What does that mean? On any level? I mean, did you suck it and throw it away? Did someone drop it in your drink? What happened? Was it a speeding car, one lick? WHAT, WHAT?!?!”

“That's when I asked her where was that actress
She said "That was somebody else"
And then I asked her why she looked so happy now

“Are you happy?" she [Clarisse] said. "Am I what?" he [Montag] cried. But she was gone- running in the moonlight. Her front door shut gently.”

“You want to take me to a movie?" I asked.
"Well, not really," he said. "What I really want is for you to be my girlfriend. But I thought saying that might scare you off.”

“In the bathtub. My dad came in and said, "Guess who they want to play Harry Potter?" I think I said the name of another actor, because I was sure it wasn't me.
