Hans Georg Fritzsche – dziennikarz, komentator radiowy, dyrektor wydziału radiowego ministerstwa propagandy i oświecenia publicznego. Bliski współpracownik Josepha Goebbelsa.

Jako szeregowy Armii Cesarstwa Niemieckiego walczył od 1917 w I wojnie światowej. Po wojnie wstąpił na uniwersytet w Berlinie, gdzie studiował historię i ekonomię polityczną. Od 1933 należał do NSDAP i pracował w ministerstwie propagandy. 4 maja 1945 w małej miejscowości między Berlinem a Bernau rozpoznał ciało Goebbelsa . Po wojnie sądzony przez Międzynarodowy Trybunał Wojskowy w Norymberdze. Po odczytaniu aktu oskarżenia powiedział, iż jest: "W stosunku do tego oskarżenia - nie winien". W wyroku z 1 października 1946 został uniewinniony ze względu na brak jego bezpośredniego udziału w zbrodniach wojennych. Zmarł w 1953 na raka jądra. Wikipedia

Kontekst: What I would like to emanate from the darkness of this tragedy is one spark of life. I mean, the realization that crime does not begin when you murder people. Crime begins with propaganda, even if such propaganda is for a good cause. The moment propaganda turns against another nation or against any human being, evil starts. Whereas the Germans started propaganda toward the end of this tragedy, you Allies stand at the beginning of the tragedy.

“In the first place, there is the Hitler group, among whom are the most guilty of the defendants and about whom very little, if any, good can be spoken.
