Dlatego tego rodzaju oskarżenia mają wyłącznie polityczny charakter, a ich przyczyną jest szereg zwycięstw sił rządowych nad terrorystami. A co się tyczy dochodzenia ws. zbrodni wojennych w Syrii, jesteśmy pierwszymi, którzy zażądali przybycia międzynarodowej komisji śledczej. Kiedy terroryści wystrzelili rakietę z trującym gazem w Aleppo wkrótce po wielu wypowiedziach na Zachodzie o gotowości sił rządowych do użycia broni chemicznej, poprosiliśmy o wizytę zagranicznych ekspertów. Stanowisko to zostało uzgodnione z Rosją, chcieliśmy by USA, Francja, Wielka Brytania przekonały się, że to nie my, ale nasi przeciwnicy używają broni chemicznej. Żeby przekonały się na podstawie konkretnych faktów, a nie gołosłownych oskarżeń. Ale wiadomo, że wszystkie rezultaty mogą być interpretowane na korzyść poszczególnych krajów. Dlatego oczekujemy, że Rosja nie pozwoli interpretować dokumentów w interesie polityki amerykańskiej czy zachodniej w ogóle.”
