„(…) podczas kręcenia filmu nikt nie zdawał sobie sprawy, że ta fraza zdobędzie tak wielką popularność. Mówiąc szczerze, miałem ochotę ją zmienić, ponieważ moim zdaniem nie brzmiała zbyt dobrze: „Albibek” czy jakoś tak. Te dwa l w środku wszystko psuły. Proponowałem reżyserowi inną wersję: „I will be back”, ale nie zgodził się. Tłumaczyłem, że Terminator pochodzi z innego świata, jest obcy w Ameryce i dlatego posługuje się wyuczonym angielskim, który z definicji brzmi sztucznie, podręcznikowo. Konstrukcja I will wydawała mi się bardziej na miejscu. James Cameron jednak postawił na swoim… no i okazało się, że cały świat oszalał na punkcie tego jednego zdania. To niesamowite. Podobnie zresztą stało się w przypadku kwestii „Hasta la vista, baby” – też nie miałem pojęcia, że zrobi ona taką karierę. Tego się nigdy nie wie. Teraz często wykorzystuję swoje filmowe teksty podczas publicznych wystąpień. Kiedy na przykład spotykam się z dziećmi w szkołach i zachęcam je do sportowego trybu życia, zawsze na końcu dodaję: „I pamiętajcie – jeżeli będziecie dbać o swoje zdrowie, uczyć się dobrze i trzymać z dala od narkotyków, to ja do was wrócę… I’ll be back”.”
