“Photography for me is not looking, it's feeling. If you can't feel what you're looking at, then you're never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”

And the closer the people stand the harder that lighting becomes and the more specific you have to be about where your head is which is particularly hard for me. So when you're kissing somebody it really is surgical. When you go in there and if you go in there like this as opposed to like that [minor head movement] you blow the take! Plus, if you kiss somebody with pleasure, it doesn't look good. If it feels good, it looks terrible. So you've got to kiss for camera which means you're feeling almost nothing anyway. So it is a very strange situation especially for me.”
