“Okay, Shane," Agnes said as Brenda's clock gonged midnight. "I got Joey in the kitchen, a cop in the front hall, a dead body in the basement, and you in my bedroom. Where do you want to start?”

“What are the rules," The cop said.
"There are none." Vishous spread his stance and braced himself.
"Do whatever you want… but you have to break me. You've got to tear me apart.”

“Faster!" Shane yelled. Eve hit the gas hard, and whipped around a slower-moving van. The firing ceased, at least for now. "You see why I didn't want you to stop?"
"Okay, your father is officially!" Eve yelled. "Oh my God, look at my car!”

“So where do you start when you want to start your life again?”

“Did you use a chainsaw?" Joey said. "I seem to recall you like chainsawa."
"There wasn't a power outlet." Clay turned to me. "That's what I want for Father's Day, darling. A gas powered chainsaw.”

“Besides," Shane said "I want to see Monica's face
when she catches sight of the two of you. Kodak moment.”

“I want my own books to have their own shelves," you said, and that's how I knew it would be okay to live together.”

“I am dead. I have no desire for you. My body no longer wants the one who doesn’t love.”

“He was a nice guy, middle-aged, a little tired, like most doctors usually seemed to be, but he just nodded and said,
"Let me take a look at him. Shane?"
"I'm not dropping my pants," Shane said. "I just thought I'd say that up front.”
