Roberta Flack est une chanteuse américaine de soul, jazz et folk, née le 10 février 1937 à Black Mountain, en Caroline du Nord.

Roberta Flack est connue pour ses singles no 1 The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Killing Me Softly with His Song, Feel Like Makin' Love ; et Where Is the Love et The Closer I Get to You, deux de ses nombreux duos avec Donny Hathaway.

Flack est une des rares artistes solo à avoir remporté le Grammy Award du disque de l'année deux années consécutives : en 1973 pour The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face et en 1974 pour Killing Me Softly with His Song. Il faudra attendre Billie Eilish pour rééditer l'exploit en 2020 et 2021. Wikipedia
