“She glared at him. "You're doing it again."
"What?"
"That thing that irritates me."
"Smiling?"
"Yes. That.”

“You're irritating me. It's not a good thing to start off by irritating the person who's supposed to decide your case.”

“Hole…" He grips Risa's hand tighter. "Hole, Risa, hole…" And she smiles "Yes, Connor," she says. "You're whole. You're finally whole.”

“She glared at him. "Why are you forever asking hard questions?"
He smiled. "Sooner or later you'll have to be able to answer one."
Daja shoved him, grinning.”

“Rose? Is that you?" I peered behind him. Lissa. "What are you doing here?"
"What are you doing here?" She asked
"Ladies, ladies" he said teasingly. "No need to fight over me."
I glared. "We're not.”

“I pointed to the wound. "It's missing," I said.

My grandmother smiled, and that was all it took for me to stop seeing the scar, and to recognize her again. "Yes," she said. "But see how much of me is left?”

“The little boy smiled back at all the angry faces glaring in at him. And the little boy blew kisses.”

“I smiled. "So this horse is your nephew, Sam?"
She glared at me. "Let's not go there."
"How did your dad father a horse?"
Blitzen coughed. "Actually, Loki was Sleipnir's mother."
"What--?"
"Let'snot go there," Sam warned.”

“You love me," she said. "That's enough. We love each other."

"Yes. Yes, that's true." He smiled. "We are a love story.”

“Judy: Listen to me very carefully, sir. I don't want you to give me the Dumb Routine. Do you know what I'm talking about? If you're dumb, I'll know you're dumb. If you give me the dumb routine, I know it's a dumb routine.
Defendant: Yes, ma'am.
