“Life is but a moment. Death is but a moment, too.”
Das Leben ist Nur ein Moment, der Tod ist auch nur einer!
Maria Stuart, Act III, sc. vi (1800)
Act I, sc. v

Context: You can't worship a spirit in spirit, unless you do it now. Wallowing in the past may be good literature. As wisdom, it's hopeless. Time Regained is Paradise Lost, and Time Lost is Paradise Regained. Let the dead bury their dead. If you want to live at every moment as it presents itself, you've got to die to every other moment.
“Not one moment when I have not been conscious of being outside Paradise.”
The Trouble With Being Born (1973)
“For a moment
The surrounding utters no sound.
Time ceases.
The Paradise of Dreams come true.”
