“Arakawa: Yes, and because I think I look a little like a cartoon cow, so it fits.”

“Arakawa: After I gave birth, I felt even more of a connection to cows, because my breasts started making milk. My breasts got bigger and my nipples swelled up, and every time my daughter went to suckle them, it reminded me of how I used to squeeze the cows' udders on the farm to get the milk out. [chuckle] It was like my own daughter was milking me.”

“I never liked horses, but after this scene, I hate them. I hate them, they are nasty animals, and I hate cows. Cows are evil. Cows are absolutely evil, I tell you. They look, like, inoffensive, but they're perverted creatures, and so are horses, they are absolutely evil motherfuckers.”

“I don’t know that I’ve ever fit in, ever. And I say that not in a bad way. I mean, in some ways, it’s a relief not to fit in, because you get to look at different sides equally. Like I don’t know that I have always found my tribe. My tribe are the people who don’t feel like they fit in. And frankly, I think that a lot of people don’t feel like they fit in.”

“I think it's quite enough to simply be sarcastic about something. I like to do that quite a lot, and it's one of my favorite things to look at. That's why I think there's a thin line between melodrama and satire, and I like to dance across that line sometimes. I like the story to take a very funny turn or have a character who is much more of a cartoon.”
