„W Japonii zapytano mnie niedawno, jak mogę pomóc zmniejszyć wskaźnik samobójstw. Jest ich ponad sto dziennie… W większości przypadków chodzi o pracobiorców, którzy na wieść o zwolnieniu idą rzucić się pod pociąg, bo nie mogą się zdobyć, żeby powiedzieć o tym rodzinie. Jest to już tak rozpowszechnione, że pracodawcy zatrudniający tych samobójców muszą płacić wysokie kary firmom kolejowym! To nasunęło mi pomysł, który obecnie analizujemy. Można by powiedzieć przedsiębiorstwom: zanim zwolnicie kogoś z pracy, powiedzcie nam o tym. My zatrudnimy tę osobę, a wy dacie nam część pieniędzy z odszkodowania, które musielibyście zapłacić, gdyby odebrała ona sobie życie…”
