Johann Heinrich Lambert – matematyk, filozof, fizyk i astronom szwajcarski pochodzenia francuskiego.

W roku 1767 udowodnił, że liczba pi jest liczbą niewymierną. W swych pracach jako jeden z pierwszych, obok Vincenzo Riccatiego posługiwał się funkcjami hiperbolicznymi. Znaczące były także jego prace z optyki i astronomii .

Na cześć uczonego jedną z planetoid nazwano Lamberta a także krater Lambert na Księżycu oraz krater Lambert na Marsie.
