Szegedi Lukács György, születési nevén Löwinger György Bernát Kossuth- és Baumgarten-díjas magyar filozófus, esztéta, egyetemi tanár, marxista gondolkodó, kommunista politikus. A Magyarországi Tanácsköztársaság közoktatásügyi népbiztosa, a második Nagy Imre-kormány népművelési minisztere, 1948-tól a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia tagja. Nemzetközileg is ismert és elismert marxista filozófus.
