“Is not to meditate to deepen oneself in Order?”
Lucretius, p. 173
Dialogue de l'arbre (1943)
“To desire is to obtain; to aspire is to, achieve.”
As A Man Thinketh (1902), Visions and Ideals
Source: As a Man Thinketh
Context: To desire is to obtain; to aspire is to, achieve. Shall man's basest desires receive the fullest measure of gratification, and his purest aspirations starve for lack of sustenance? Such is not the Law: such a condition of things can never obtain: "ask and receive."
Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your Vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your Ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.
“What is important in meditation is the quality of the mind and the heart.”
Talks in Europe 1968
1970s, Second Penguin Krishnamurti Reader (1973)
Context: What is important in meditation is the quality of the mind and the heart. It is not what you achieve, or what you say you attain, but rather the quality of a mind that is innocent and vulnerable.
“Q: Is life a dream or a meditation? A: Life is a meditation when you know it is a dream.”
Yoga Journal, May 1977
“Coercion is the least efficient means of obtaining order.”

“In order to achieve great things in your life, you have to be consistent in what you are doing.”
Scott Ferrell (August 30, 2002) "Smith has record in sight", The Times, p. 21G.
