She received acclaim for her roles in the independent films Sorry to Bother You , Annihilation , Sylvie's Love , and Passing , the latter of which earned her a nomination for a British Academy Film Award.

On television, she starred in the noir drama series Veronica Mars , the drama series Copper , and the science fiction series Westworld .
