Peter Thomas King is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 2nd congressional district since 2013. A member of the Republican Party, King has served in Congress since 1993. He represents a South Shore Long Island district that includes parts of Nassau County and Suffolk County and was previously numbered as the 3rd congressional district.

King was formerly Chair of the House Committee on Homeland Security, where he drew attention in early 2011 for holding hearings on the extent of radicalization of American Muslims. He stepped down as Homeland Security Chairman because of Republican conference term limits, but remains a member of the Committee. King currently sits on the Financial Services Committee and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
