To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others. (ang.)

„Prawdziwa decyzja jest mierzona poprzez fakt podjęcia nowego działania. Jeśli nie ma działania – tak naprawdę nie podjąłeś decyzji.”

A real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken a new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided. (ang.)

„Jakość naszego życia sprowadza się do jakości naszych związków z innymi ludźmi.”

The quality of your life is the quality of your communication.

“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve.”

As quoted in The Educator's Book of Quotes‎ (2003) by John Blaydes, p. 57
Kontekst: I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.

“The quality of your life is the quality of your communication.”

“Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy.”

Źródło: Awaken the Giant Within (1992), p. 75
Kontekst: Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives.

“When Cicero was done speaking, people always gave him a standing ovation and cheered, "What a great speech!" When Demosthenes was done, people said, "Let us march," and they did.”

Źródło: Unlimited Power (1986), p. 413; this paraphrases an observation made by Adlai Stevenson while introducing John F. Kennedy in 1960, as quoted in Adlai Stevenson and The World: The Life of Adlai E. Stevenson‎ (1977) by John Bartlow Martin, p. 549:
Kontekst: There were two great orators of antiquity. One was Cicero, and the other Demosthenes. When Cicero was done speaking, people always gave him a standing ovation and cheered, "What a great speech!" When Demosthenes was done, people said, "Let us march," and they did. That's the difference between presentation and persuasion. I hope to be classified in the latter category.

“I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk.”

Kontekst: I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk. They are the models of excellence the rest of the world marvels about. Join this unique team of people known as the few who do versus the many who wish — result-oriented people who produce their life exactly as they desire it.

“Constant and Never-ending Improvement”

Źródło: Awaken the Giant Within (1992), p. 96; this phrase was also later used as a chapter title in The Success Principles : How to get from where you are to where you want to be (2005) by Jack Canfield, (with Janet Switzer), Ch. 20: "Commit to Constant and Never-ending Improvement", p. 164.
Kontekst: I realized that we all need a word to anchor ourselves to the focus of Constant and Never-ending Improvement. When we create a word, we encode meaning and create a way of thinking. The words that we use consistently make up the fabric of how we think and even affect our decision making. As a result of this understanding, I created a simple mnemonic: CANI!™ (pronounced kuhn-EYE), which stands for Constant And Never-ending Improvement.

“All personal breakthroughs begin with a change in beliefs.”

Źródło: Awaken the Giant Within (1992), p. 85
Kontekst: All personal breakthroughs begin with a change in beliefs. So how do we change? The most effective way is to get your brain to associate massive pain to the old belief. You must feel deep in your gut that not only has this belief cost you pain in the past, but it's costing you in the present and, ultimately, can only bring you pain in the future.

“Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.”

Źródło: Awaken the Giant Within (1992), p. 511
Kontekst: Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.

“Who are you now? Who have you decided to become? Make this decision consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully. Then act upon it.”

Giant Steps : Small Changes to Make a Big Difference : Daily Lessons in Self-mastery (1994), p. 341 <!-- Hidden section in above quote is attributed in some variants. -->
Kontekst: You are now at a crossroads. Forget your past. Who are you now? Who have you decided you really are now? Don't think about who you have been. Who are you now? Who have you decided to become? Make this decision consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully. Then act upon it.

“It is your decisions, and not your conditions, that determine your destiny.”

Wariant: It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.
