Kuvempu, właściwie Kuppali Venkatappagowda Puttappa – indyjski pisarz i poeta z Karnataki, tworzący w języku kannada. Napisał m.in. wersję Ramajany we współczesnym języku kannada. Wikipedia

He stated when he deviated from the Valmiki Ramayana epic story and was criticized for the changes made.
