Apollonios z Rodos, Apolloniusz Rodyjski – grecki poeta, trzeci dyrektor Biblioteki Aleksandryjskiej, zastąpił na tym stanowisku Kallimacha z Cyreny. Najbardziej znane jego dzieło to poemat epicki w czterech księgach Argonautyki opisujący dzieje mitologicznej wyprawy Jazona po złote runo i jego romansu z Medeą. Poemat ten łączy tradycyjne, nawiązujące do Homera wzorce poezji epickiej z elementami nowej, aleksandryjskiej poetyki .
