Wafa Sultan est surtout connue par son intervention dirigée contre l'Islam sur la chaîne qatarienne Al Jazeera, intervention qui fut relayée par la suite par les nombreuses organisations liées à l'American Freedom Alliance, dont le mouvement "Counterjihad Alliance" auquel se rattachent nombre de figures du mouvement néoconservateur et anti-islam américain. W. Sultan participe depuis aux évènements anti-Islam financés par la Fairbrook Fondation, c'est-à-dire le couple activiste pro-israélien Aubrey & Joyce Chernick.

Contexte: I receive death threats on a daily basis. I'm a well-known writer in the Arab world. My writings expose me to millions of devout Muslims who have nothing positive to prove but the sheer cruelty of their teachings. Islam has deprived them of their intellectual ability to face criticism with an effective and acceptable way.
