Mahendra Pal Chaudhry est un homme politique de la République des Îles Fidji. Il est surtout connu pour avoir été Premier ministre de mai 1999 à mai 2000. Il fut le premier Indo-Fidjien à accéder à ce poste, et fut renversé par un coup d'État en 2000. Il est l'actuel chef du Parti Travailliste Fidjien. Il est également secrétaire général de l'Union nationale des fermiers.

Mr Chaudhry himself was convicted sometime back for manslaughter and he was released from prison only three days after serving his sentence on a CSO (Compulsory Supervision Order)." (accusing Chaudhry of hypocrisy for campaigning against the early release of politicians jailed for their part in the 2000 coup).
