James Enos Clyburn dit Jim Clyburn, né le 21 juillet 1940, est un homme politique américain démocrate, membre de la Chambre des représentants pour le 6e district de Caroline du Sud. Il est élu du seul district à majorité noire de cet État, district qui inclut Florence, Sumter et de larges parties de Columbia et Charleston.
Il fait partie du whip démocrate au Congrès et est la troisième personnalité démocrate la plus importante de la Chambre des représentants après le House Speaker Nancy Pelosi et le leader de la majorité Steny Hoyer. Il est le second afro-américain et le premier Sud-Carolinien à occuper cette position.
Réélu à la Chambre des représentants en 2010, il sera à partir du 3 janvier 2011 le seul démocrate à représenter la Caroline du Sud au congrès américain. Wikipedia
