John Walter Grant MacEwan, était un agriculteur canadien, professeur à l’Université de la Saskatchewan, doyen de la chaire d’agriculture de l’Université du Manitoba. Il a été le 28e maire de Calgary et membre de l’Assemblée législative de l'Alberta . Il a aussi été le neuvième lieutenant-gouverneur de l'Alberta.
