Donald Tusk citations

Donald Franciszek Tusk , né le 22 avril 1957 à Gdańsk, est un homme d'État polonais.

Vice-président du Sénat de 1997 à 2001 puis de la Diète entre 2001 et 2005, il se présente à l'élection présidentielle de 2005, soutenu par la Plate-forme civique ; bien qu'ayant terminé premier à l'issue du premier tour, il est battu par le candidat conservateur Lech Kaczyński.

À la suite de la victoire de la PO aux élections législatives de 2007, il est nommé président du Conseil des ministres de Pologne et mène une politique de réformes libérales. Après avoir refusé de concourir à l'élection présidentielle de 2010, il mène la campagne de son parti pour le scrutin parlementaire de 2011, à l'issue duquel la coalition gouvernementale est reconduite.

En 2014, Donald Tusk quitte sa fonction de chef du gouvernement pour devenir président du Conseil européen. En 2019, à la fin de son second mandat, il devient président du Parti populaire européen . Wikipedia
