Daniel Patrick Moynihan, né le 16 mars 1927 à Tulsa et mort le 26 mars 2003 à Washington D.C., est un sociologue et homme politique américain. Membre du Parti démocrate, il est sénateur pour l'État de New York au Congrès de 1977 à 2001. Il a aussi été ambassadeur des États-Unis auprès de l'Organisation des Nations unies entre 1975 et 1976 et de l'Inde de 1973 à 1975. Wikipedia
