“Maybe one day it will be just you and me, my little blueberry," Magnus said conversationally. "But not for a long, long time. We'll take care of him, you and I. Won't we?"
Max Lightwood made a happy burbling sound that Magnus took as agreement.”

“I don't care who her mother is," Magnus said. "You can't see me with out an appointment. Come back later. Next March would be good,"
"March?" Sebastian looked horrified.
"You're right," Magnus said, "Too rainy. How about June?”

“I care about Alec," Jace said, fixing Magnus with an unswerving gaze. "I care about him more than I care about myself.”

“How can you not care?"
"Practice," Magnus said, looking back to his book and turning the page.”
