Piper Laurie Oscar-díjra jelölt Golden Globe-díjas és Emmy-díjas amerikai színésznő. Szülei Alfred Jacobs bútoros és Charlotte Sadie Alperin. Laurie lengyel és orosz felmenőkkel rendelkezik. Hatévesen Los Angelesbe költöztek, ahol Laurie-t héber iskolába járatták.
