Steve Martin, de son vrai nom Stephen Glenn Martin est un acteur, humoriste, musicien et scénariste américain né le 14 août 1945 à Waco .

Révélé grâce au Saturday Night Live, Martin est devenu un humoriste réputé, avant de commencer une carrière au cinéma avec succès dans le registre comique avec Un vrai schnock, Les cadavres ne portent pas de costard, Treize à la douzaine, La Panthère rose et Pas si simple, mais sait démontrer qu'il peut jouer avec sobriété ou changer de registre notamment avec Un ticket pour deux, Tout l'or du ciel, Portrait craché d'une famille modèle et La Prisonnière espagnole.
