Douglas Bader, de son nom complet Douglas Robert Steuart Bader, est un aviateur britannique, né le 10 février 1910 à St John's Wood et mort le 5 septembre 1982. Alors qu'il avait été amputé des deux jambes à la suite d'un accident survenu avant la guerre, il reprend du service dans la RAF au moment où commence la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il resté célèbre comme un « as » de la RAF, ayant remporté une trentaine de victoires dont 22 confirmées en seulement 15 mois d'opérations, dans des combats aériens au-dessus de la Manche lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale nonobstant son handicap.
