“Simon-"From now on I will only adress people by nodding at them." Clary-"That's stupid why would you do that?" Simon-"Because it says that 'I am a badass, and I recognive that you too, are a badass”

“I love you, Clary wanted to say. And, I would do it again. I would always ask for you.”

“You can't raise a child to believe the opposite of what you do.”

“Clary?” Jace tilted his head to the side, studying her face. “You do—you still love me, don’t you?”

“I love Jace Lightwood,” she said. “I don’t know who you are.”

“I will add that I do not believe his admiration of my person, dazzling through I am, to be sincere. He told me I was a beautiful, sparkling lady.”

“Careful, boy,” rumbled Gwyn. “You have your Laws and we have ours. The difference is only that we do not pretend ours are not cruel.”

“He raised an eyebrow, which made Clary instantly jealous. She’d always wanted to be able to do that.

'Some of the time.”

“Magnus did not have enormous respect for the Law, but if he was breaking it he wanted to look good doing it.”
