Ray Douglas Bradbury amerikai író, a science fiction irodalom egyik óriása. Jelentősége nem csak művei minőségében nyilvánult meg, hanem abban is, hogy a sci-fi műfaj jelentős időszakában, az 1950-es években már aktív író volt, így a műfajra írásai hatást gyakoroltak ebben a fontos korszakban. Bradbury művei számos kortárs és későbbi írót inspiráltak, a műfaj egyik „nagyjának” tartották. Wikipedia
