Brian Wilson idézet

Brian Douglas Wilson amerikai zeneszerző, producer, énekes, a 20. századi popzene egyik legjelentősebb alakja.

Wilsont és Beach Boyst 1988-ban iktatták be a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-be melynek honlapján így írnak Wilsonról: „Egyike a kevés vitathatatlan zseniknek a könnyűzenében”. 1998-ban pedig a Vocal Groups Hall of Fame-be. A Rolling Stone magazin „Minden idők 100 legjobb énekese” listáján Wilson az 52 lett. 2005-ben Grammy-díjat nyert a "Mrs. O'Leary's Cow "-ért, mint a legjobb instrumentális rock szám. Dennis Wilson ezt mondta Brianről: "Brian a The Beach Boys, mi csak a hírvivői vagyunk, Ő a minden – mi semmik vagyunk." Wikipedia

Brian Wilson: Idézetek angolul

“My mother used to tell me about vibrations.”

"The Beach Boys: The Healing of Brother Brian" http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/the-healing-of-brother-brian-the-rolling-stone-interview-with-the-beach-boys-19761104?page=6 in Rolling Stone (4 November 1976)
Kontextus: My mother used to tell me about vibrations. I didn't really understand too much of what that meant when I was just a boy. It scared me, the word "vibrations." To think that invisible feelings, invisible vibrations existed, scared me to death. But she told about dogs that would bark at people and then not bark at others, that a dog would pick up vibrations from these people that you can't see, but you can feel. And the same existed with people.

“All of us have the privilege of making music that helps and heals — to make music that makes people happier, stronger and kinder. Don't forget: music is God's voice.”
