Willem [de] Kooning, né le 24 avril 1904 à Rotterdam et mort le 19 mars 1997 à Long Island , est un peintre d'origine néerlandaise, naturalisé américain, précurseur de l'expressionnisme abstrait.

De Kooning peint des figures, des portraits, en utilisant la gouache, l'aquarelle, le pastel, les techniques mixtes ; il est aussi sculpteur et dessinateur. Wikipedia
