Philo Taylor Farnsworth était un inventeur américain qui contribua à l'invention du tube de prises de vue pour la télévision.

On attribue généralement à Vladimir Zworykin la paternité de l'invention. Si, en Russie, il avait bien mis au point le tube à rayon cathodique, c'est Farnsworth qui, le premier, montrera une chaîne de télévision complète . Wikipedia
