Julian Paul Assange, né le 3 juillet 1971 à Townsville, est un informaticien et cybermilitant australien. Il est surtout connu en tant que fondateur, rédacteur en chef et porte-parole de WikiLeaks.

Craignant une extradition aux États-Unis où il fait l'objet de poursuites judiciaires et toujours sous le coup d'un mandat d'arrêt international lancé par la Suède, il vit réfugié à l’ambassade d’Équateur à Londres depuis juin 2012.
