Edward Lodewijk Van Halen [ˈɛdvart ˈloːdəˌʋɛi̯k fɑn ˈɦaːlə] est un guitariste néerlandais, d'origine néerlandaise par son père et javanaise par sa mère , né le 26 janvier 1955 à Nimègue, Pays-Bas.

Il a fondé avec son frère aîné, Alex Van Halen, le groupe de hard rock Van Halen. Il est le père du bassiste Wolfgang Van Halen, qui fait partie du groupe depuis 2006. Wikipedia
