Clive Barker, né le 5 octobre 1952 à Liverpool, est un romancier britannique, également dramaturge, scénariste de bande dessinée, peintre et cinéaste . Avec Les Livres de sang, il propose un panorama du fantastique contemporain, dont il évoque tous les aspects à chacune des nouvelles de ses recueils.
