Joseph Frank Keaton Junior, dit Buster Keaton, est un acteur, réalisateur, scénariste et producteur américain, né le 4 octobre 1895 à Piqua , et mort le 1er février 1966 à Hollywood .
Humoriste célèbre pour son flegme, artiste ayant marqué le cinéma muet américain, il fut entre autres surnommé « l'homme qui ne rit jamais » par contraste avec Charlie Chaplin. « Buster » est un surnom générique signifiant aussi « casse-cou ».
Il est classé vingt et unième acteur de légende par l'American Film Institute.

Contexte: The funny thing about our act is that dad gets the worst of it, although I'm the one who apparently receives the bruises … the secret is in landing limp and breaking the fall with a foot or a hand. It's a knack. I started so young that landing right is second nature with me. Several times I'd have been killed if I hadn't been able to land like a cat. Imitators of our act don't last long, because they can't stand the treatment.
